Bruce Kilday has been representing state and local law enforcement agencies, administrators and officers for more than 25 years. He leads our firm’s defense team serving police departments, cities, counties and other government entities in a wide range of legal challenges.
As a former deputy district attorney, Mr. Kilday has a keen understanding of the issues that confront law enforcement on a daily basis, both in the street and at the administrative level. He is regularly asked to speak at law enforcement conferences and has been a Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) instructor since 1995 in the “Officer Involved Shootings” course.
Attorney Kilday collaborates with Derick Konz on law enforcement/public entity defense cases. Mr. Konz worked in the San Joaquin County Public Defender’s office as a certified law student, so he is familiar with the other side of police-defendant interactions. He is proud to represent law enforcement officers and others who serve the public good at the federal and state level in cases that include excessive use of force, unlawful detention, unlawful conditions of search and ADA violations.
